Spring’s Viral Makeup Trends

Apr 1, 2026

Ingenue blush. Nina Park lips. Pastel lids. There’s no denying fun makeup looks are having a moment this spring, and the beauty retailers at Cornwall Centre are ready to help you achieve all of them. Let’s dive in!

Rosy Cheeks
If you were on the internet for even a second in February, you probably saw the Wuthering Heights press tour. The movie had everyone talking, and so did its makeup looks. Margot Robbie’s flushed cheeks have taken the beauty world by storm, and we’re happy to share that they’re easy to replicate. Instead of high on the cheekbone, as has been the trend for the past few seasons, apply a berry-toned cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks and blend it slightly downward. Seal it with short, feathery strokes using a pink powder blush.

We recommend:
Merit’s Flush Balm Cream Blush in shade Apres, for a hue that’s beautiful on all skin tones. Available at Sephora.

Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Luminous Powder Blush in shade Cheer, gently swept on top. Available at Sephora.

Lived-In Lips
Instead of ultra-defined, lined lips, we’re seeing a shift to soft, cloud-like, lived-in lips this season. Made famous by celebrity makeup artist, Nina Park, on the likes of Zoe Kravitz, Mia Goth and Sadie Sink, this look is absolutely achievable at home with the right products in hand. Start with a nude lipstick, blot, and then feather the edges out with a small makeup brush. Slightly line the outside of your lips with a cream contour, focusing on the centre of your bottom lip and cupid’s bow. Blend, blend, blend with the small makeup brush to ensure there are no harsh lines. Next, go back in and gently line your lips with a pencil lip liner just a shade darker than the nude lipstick. Finish with a touch of gloss on the centre of your lips and the look is complete!

We recommend:
Essence’s The Slim Stick in shade Over the Nude, for a versatile lipstick that works on a variety of skin tones. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

NYX Contour Highlight Wonder Stick one or two shades darker than your natural skin tone. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

E.L.F. Cosmetics Blending Brush, available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Milani Color Statement Lip Liner in shade All Natural, just ever-so-slightly deeper than the lipstick. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Maybelline Lifter Gloss in shade Stone, to finish the look, available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Pastel Peepers
We know — pastels for spring… groundbreaking. But pastel eyeshadow is having a moment and now, more than ever, is the time to lean into it. To get the look, start by patting a layer of eye primer onto your lids, stopping just above the crease. If you have a deep skin tone, consider using a primer that is lighter than your skin to help the eyeshadow pop. Next, use a dense brush to gently pack a powder eyeshadow onto your lid, blending slightly above your crease with a fluffy brush. If you have hooded eyes, you may choose to keep the colour below the crease. Finish with a slick of tubing mascara and you’re done!

We recommend:
Nars Pro-Prime™ Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base, available at Sephora.

E.L.F. Cosmetics Eye Contour Brush, available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

r.e.m. beauty midnight shadows eyeshadow palette, using the Turquoise or Lilac shades. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart.
MAC Cosmetics Extra Dimension eyeshadow in shade Ready to Party, available at Sephora.

Essence Lash Without Limits Tubing Mascara, available at Shoppers Drug Mart.
