The role of our Security Services at Cornwall Centre is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests and tenants at Regina’s largest indoor shopping destination. Cornwall Centre maintains a staff of 10 uniformed Security Officers, 3 Security Supervisors, and a Security Manager. Our security department patrols Cornwall Centre 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We provide an increased security presence during the busier times and during special events. In the event that you require the assistance of our Security team, Security staff can be contacted by calling 306-535-9701 or visiting us at the Security Office. The Security Office is located on the Main Level across from SaskTel. You can also contact security using Cornwall Connect by texting 306-800-6444. Uniformed, licensed, and highly trained male and female Security staff patrol the mall, providing security presence and offering assistance as required.

SECURITY SERVICES AVAILABLE

Security staff are available to assist mall patrons and tenants in many ways, including but not limited to:

Assisting guests locating specific retailers or amenities within the shopping Centre
Assisting guests and retailers with lost or found items
Assisting guests using our ExpressPark parking facilities
Assisting guests with location of vehicles
Providing first aid for any injuries or illnesses
Locating lost children or guests
Ensuring personal safety through escorts and constant, uniformed patrols
Enforcing shopping Centre rules

SECURITY DUTIES

In addition to patrolling the shopping Centre, our Security staff also patrol the mall parking facilities and outer perimeter. These patrols serve to deter crime, identify suspicious behavior and to assist guests in these outer areas of the shopping Centre. There is also a Security Dispatcher working at all times during Centre hours. Security Dispatch staff are responsible for monitoring the advanced closed circuit camera system which observes the interior and exterior of the shopping Centre, as well as answering all incoming telephone calls for assistance. Calls for assistance are dispatched to the appropriate security personnel who are trained to deal with any situations that may arise. Our Security staff act as an important link with the Regina Police Service, Regina Fire & Protective Services and Saskatchewan Health Authority Emergency Medical Services.

FIRST AID AND CPR

In order to further assist our guests visiting Cornwall Centre, Cornwall Centre has three Automated External Defibrillators (AED’s) on the property. All members of the Security and Management teams are trained in the use of these life-saving cardiac devices. All Security and Centre management personnel are trained in first aid, CPR and Cardiac Arrest Management.
