The Saskatchewan Wildfire Evacuees are in need of our help.
The Red Cross is preparing to receive as many as 2,000 evacuees from Northern Saskatchewan to Regina. The Red Cross is unable to accept goods due to logistics, and they have notified the public that they are not taking monetary donations because they are working with the provincial government.
The Salvation Army and RCMP Heritage Centre have put out a call for donations of summer clothing of all ages and sizes including shorts, t-shirts, bathing suits, sandals/flip-flops, and underwear; and entertainment items like non-plush toys, colouring books, reading materials, board games, reusable bags, and craft supplies.
Cornwall Centre is accepting donations of the items listed above to deliver to the evacuees located in Regina. Cornwall Centre Guest Services hours are:
